So you’re looking for beautiful engagement photo locations?! You’re in the right place! I’m so happy to share my top 4 engagement photo locations in Orange County with you!

Before we jump in, a BIG congratulations are in order!!! If you’ve landed here, chances are you’re newly engaged!!! This is such an exciting time in your life and documenting these memories for couples is my favorite thing to do. Whenever I’m contacted by a newly engaged couple I literally happy dance knowing that I get the opportunity to create memories for this couple during such an exciting time in their lives.

Here are a few things to consider before selecting your engagement photo location and to help you prepare ahead of time

#1: You can pull memories or traditions into your photos AT the location of your choice. Do you have a weekly pizza night?! Grab your favorite pizza to go and bring it to the session with a cozy blanket and we can incorporate it into your photos. Don’t hesitate to personalize your photos. I love to capture traditions near and dear to the couples I work with.

#2: Think about the time of year and time of the week that you want to have your engagement session. I try to avoid beach locations during the height of summer. I usually recommend having engagement sessions during the week to avoid the crowds of people. For beach sessions, I usually begin an hour before sunset and for inland locations, I like to begin 1-2 hours before sunset.

#3: If your photographer doesn’t provide it ahead of time, make sure to ask them if they cover and coordinate any required permits for the location of your choice, recommended areas to park, and the cost of parking.

#4: Get ready to laugh and begin writing the next chapter of your love story together!
